Experience the Churchill Museum & Cabinet War Rooms

London travel card holders may wish to take the opportunity to visit the historic Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms while visiting Britain's capital.
Visited by Winston Churchill in 1940, shortly after he was appointed as Britain's prime minister, the Cabinet War Rooms were located underground because of the advent of aerial bombardment as a weapon of war.
Indeed, while in this room, Mr Churchill went as far as to announce that: "This is the room from which I will direct the war".
Among the highlights of the room are the Map Room and the Cabinet Room - two of the most amazing places to visit in London.
"This was the inner sanctum of British Government, the room used for meetings of the Prime Minister, a select few ministers and advisers of his War Cabinet and his Chiefs of Staff," said the attractions website, which is part of the Imperial War Museum.
London Pass holders can receive free entry to the Churchill Museum & Cabinet War Rooms.
