Biographer offers royal insightA 1,000-page book is soon to hit the shelves which documents the life of the Queen Mother.
William Shawcross, an official royal biographer, was given access to a host of papers in order to compile the book.
"She wrote marvellous letters, from the age of ten to 100, and had marvellous handwriting and a marvellously clear jubilant voice," he revealed on his publisher's YouTube page.
Much of the book is based on secret transcripts compiled before the Queen Mother died in 2002, with Prince Charles believed to have been among those involved in compiling it.
It will go on sale on September 17th and is expected to contain her thoughts on a number of pressing issues, including the late Princess Diana.
